Frank Chindamo - Founder/CEO
Frank’s films have appeared on HBO, Showtime, CBS, PBS, A&E, MTV, and Comedy Central, winning 20 awards including 2 American Cine Golden Eagles, a Finalist's Place for Best Short at the Cannes Film Festival, CTIA’s “World’s Smallest Film Festival,” a runner-up to MTV for Best Video Channel at the 2006 and the 2007 Mobile Entertainment Awards, and the Grand Prize at the 2009 MoFilm competition at Mobile Content World.
Fun Little Movies’ President and Chief Creative Officer, Frank also holds the world’s record for the most short films made independently.
In 2006 and 2007, Frank Chindamo was named one of the Top 40 people in IPTV. In 2007 he was also nominated by Ernst & Young for Entrepreneur of the Year, and co-led the Mobile Entertainment Forum’s Educational Initiative. He is also a member of the Mobile Marketing Association.
He is additionally an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California (USC), where he teaches the class “Mobile/Internet Viral Screenwriting and Production,” and an Instructor at UCLA where he teaches “Beyond YouTube: Making Mobile and Internet Movies that Sell.”
Frank received his Film B.F.A. from N.Y.U. and his Screenwriting M.F.A. from Columbia University. He is also a supporter and adviser to the worldwide charity http://www.airlineambassadors.com/ , which hand-delivers educational and medical relief aid globally. Geraldine Crean - VP of New Business Development
Dr. Geri Crean has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry, a Master’s in Cell Biology, and a Ph.D. in Physiology with years of experience in bring both medicines and medical devices to both patients and hospitals through regulatory approval and direct marketing. She was recruited right out of graduate school for the discovery department of Pfizer, Inc. where she enjoyed a successful career developing various medicines and expanding her talents to regulatory affairs, business development and marketing.
After 20 years at Pfizer, Dr. Crean began her own independent consultation service where she was quickly targeted by One World Health, a Bill Gates company, to implement a program for regulatory approval of a lifesaving drug to cure “Black Fever.” Dr. Crean most recently obtained regulatory approval for two medical devices by being the direct contact to the FDA.
Dr. Crean has extensive experience in managing multi-million dollar development programs for medical devices and drug therapies. Her scientific endeavors are a strong compliment to her interest in the arts in terms of their potential impact on the health and welfare of human physiology. She has added her creative talents by working directly in film production and screen writing. She holds copyrights for several original scripts and treatments.
Dr. Crean has worked the fields of medicine, education and business for over 25 years and is a member of the National Science Teachers Association. She provides a unique perspective to the LaughMD team.
Paul Allen - CTO
Paul Allen began his career over 30 years ago in New York, designing, building and managing Video Studios of America (VSA), the first tele-production/post production facility to accommodate the launch of cable television and Public Access for Queens, N.Y. During his tenure, he edited the first music video for MTV, consulted for numerous companies and produced hundreds of projects for broadcast, educational, corporate, and entertainment applications. Paul left VSA in 1984 to Produce and Direct “Beat The Pros”, a sports handicapping series on USA Networks for the Trump Plaza Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Paul also designed and built studios for the NYC Board of Education and became the only certified teacher of Television Production for New York where he trained more than 60 High School teachers in Production and taught more than 700 High School students.
Paul received four MTV awards, two United Nations Humanitarian awards, two Grammy ® nominations for “Sun City – Artists Against Apartheid,” and was appointed U.N. Earth Ambassador for his contribution to the U.N. First Earth Run For Peace. He received an Emmy® Award for his contribution to the 1996 NBC Summer Olympics and another U.N. award for his contribution to the creation of the global event known as “Earth Day”.
Paul is a pioneer in High Definition Television and a guest speaker for AVID Technologies.
His most recent project was to design and build out the infrastructure for NGTV, the first multi-portal Internet Network whose chairman is rock legend Gene Simmons. Paul’s design has been lauded by industry experts and copied by many large organizations including NBC, CBS, Wachovia Bank and others. He is recognized as a leader in media technology and often called upon for consultation from multi-national organizations.
He is an active voting member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Media and Entertainment Alliance, National Association of Broadcasters, and the AMD Global Vision Conference.
Marybeth Rim - CFO
Mary Beth Rim has experience in business operating tax agencies, restaurants, talent management, and film production companies. Such companies include Aruffo-Rim Agency Inc., Los Feliz Place L.L.C, Model Line Inc., and Chaotik mgmt. L.L.C. Mary Beth was born and grew up in Philadelphia, PA. She went to West Chester University and graduated with a B.A in Theatre Arts. In addition to her creative degree and pursuits, she studied with numerous C.P.A’s, M.B.A’s and Tax professionals in both Philadelphia, Denver, and Los Angeles. She believes there is no reason why you can’t have the best of both worlds. She also believes in Laugh MD.
Nick Alexander - COO
Nick is Director of Operations at Fun Little Movies, a producer and distributor of short comedy films for mobile phones and the internet. In this capacity he has overseen content distribution and formatting, video and sound editing, web design, and data analysis.
Nick has also served as a Content Tech for Babelgum, an international web and mobile video portal. There, he contributed to content programming and layout for the Comedy Channel of the website and iPhone application.
He began his entertainment career when he founded Nijiwango Studios, a Chicago-based company that produced commercial videos for such clients as British Petroleum, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Consortium for Educational Change. He closed the company in 2006 in order to pursue film production and game design at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, from which he received his BA.
John Boswell - Chief Consultant
John Boswell is re-emerging from a lengthy battle with stage 4 cancer and HIV to spearhead the development of the 501(c)3 non-profit getavisionPROJECT and launch video-centric services through netv.com, serving the travel & tourism industries and supporting local economic development initiatives.
He's thrilled to now be on board the City of Hope's Speakers Bureau through which he can support the amazing team of medical professionals who saved his life!
With a focus on community-building and local economic development, John is currently on the Tourism Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and serving as an Advisory Board Member for the Travel and Tourism Marketing Association, and is spearheading the development of a Palm Springs / Desert Cities Chapter of the organization.
He has worked actively in international non-profit relief and development efforts in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, and the Philippines. Most recently, John has been recognized for his work in building international relations, particularly between Beverly Hills and Japan and France, by the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and the California State Senate, receiving the Beverly Hills Global Business Award and a California State Commendation for public service, respectively.
